Support the New York City Metro Chapter of Makers Making Change by donating funds towards equipment and supplies for future workshops and trainings. At Makers Making Change, a Neil Squire program, with our community of volunteers and library of over 200+ open-source designs that can be made by anyone, we enable people with disabilities to obtain affordable assistive devices and live life to the fullest. Makers Making Change connects volunteer makers to people with disabilities who need assistive devices. Our devices are all open source. We provide the instructions and support to help makers get started. For $5 we can create an accessible switch that can be used to activate a switch adapted toy, play a video game, use a communication device or even move a wheelchair. For $20 we can buy the materials to make simple battery operated toys accessible by adding switch ports that will allow them to activate with an external switch.
