Hello, my name is Bailey Herrera. I have been a nurse for 5 years in the emergency department at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
I am fundraising so that I can volunteer with Loma Linda’s Global Health Institute as a nurse to travel to Nepal. While there, I will work alongside nursing staff at Scheer Memorial Hospital training them in BLS, ACLS, updated nursing practices, as well as ventilator care as we bring new and necessary updates to their facility, continuing the work that was started by our emergency medicine team last year.
Since its founding over 100 years ago, Loma Linda University Health's mission has been to "make man whole," not only locally, but globally. This rich tradition of service has been carried out by thousands of employees, students and graduates who have served overseas. With your help, I hope to become a larger part of this tradition.
Your donations will support my volunteer efforts covering transportation, food, housing and other related expenses throughout the 2 + week trip, as well as the round trip flight, which is estimated $1500 -$2000 from LAX to Kathmandu.
Anything helps in my efforts to attend this global service mission trip. Please consider donating and sharing so this may reach a wider audience.
Thank you!
