On July 17, 2025 Nova Rae Andrews was born! Weeks before her arrival it was found during an ultrasound that she had a brain bleed. The original plan was to schedule a c-section in Sioux Falls at 37 weeks so that she could be under the care of Sanford Children’s upon her arrival. Unfortunately, a follow up ultrasound showed a worsening of the bleed so it was decided that the Andrews needed to travel to Sioux Falls earlier than expected.

There are unknowns ahead as there will be many more tests, possible surgery, and a undetermined amount of time away from home while they stay in Sioux Falls for Nova’s continued care.
