I am running my first ever 10k in October. My first ever running race in fact. I also wanted this race to mean something. Something more than my personal health goals. I have loved Ely and the boundary waters ever since the first time I visited the area in 2009. It came from my grandpas love for the area, my grandpa bringing my grandma, my mom and aunts, later inviting the whole family. Then I brought my husband and kids. 

We have all fallen in love with the area more and more with each visit. The love and support for this area quite literally goes back generations and I want nothing more than for this area to be there for future generations to come. 

That’s why I am supporting Northeastern Minnesotans for Wilderness/Save the BWCA. This incredible organization works tirelessly to protect our beloved wilderness areas, especially the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and the greater Quetico-Superior Ecosystem. Together, we can help safeguard these pristine lands for future generations.
