From Crisis to Compassion—Help Us Take the Next Step!

Just a year ago, North West Legends Elementary faced the unimaginable: the threat of closure due to poor academic performance. But what seemed impossible at the time has turned into a heartwarming story of community, compassion, and action.

Our Rotary Club, along with countless volunteers, met with school staff and uncovered heartbreaking truths:

• Many children were hungry,

• Lacked shoes and clothing,

• And for some, school meals were their only meals.

That meant when the school day ended Friday, some kids wouldn’t eat again until Monday.

We stepped in—and everything changed.

Chef Har vey Pantry —we opened a food closet and launched an ongoing mission to feed and support these children and their families.

To date:

• 4,200+ bags of healthy meals have gone home with students on Fridays

• 387 boxes of food delivered directly to families

• 2,500+ hot meals served to the hungry and homeless this school year alone

Now, we need your help with the next step:

We’re raising $800 to buy a standing refrigerator for the school—so food donations can be stored safely and used more effectively.
