Norma Florencia was orphaned as a child along with her 2 sisters. She endured the tribulations that come along with being sent from foster home to foster home. Despite her difficult childhood she was able to get an education and prosper as a person. Because of her experiences she always said that being kind to everyone and helping anyone in need was the best way to live life. She is loved by everyone that meets her as her generosity is well known. She was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive Brain Lymphoma. She’s currently taking Imbruvica that costs $616 per tablet which she takes 4 per day. She has gone through all her savings. We (her children) have also gone through all our savings and are constantly trying to sell items, but the expenses are astronomical. The pills are not covered by insurance and in just 3 months the total expenses exceeded $200,000. There are many more expenses associated with this disease that include constant lab work, additional medication, MRIs, etc. We are incredibly grateful to those that have already reached out to help without even asking. We are very used to giving and helping people in any way we can, so this is a new experience for us. But we are hopeful that our mom’s generosity throughout her life can be reciprocated by loving friends and strangers alike. LITERALLY anything helps.
