Support Noodle's Heroic Gift to His Sister
Donation protected
Hello, on behalf of the Ellis and the Jackson family. Deanna Jackson, her mother, father, and sister are coming to our friends, family, and community to support their niece and nephew on a difficult journey.
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to ask for your support during an incredibly difficult time for our family.
Our sweet two-year-old niece, Dior, has been hospitalized at the University of Chicago for over a week. After extensive testing, we received devastating news: Dior is suffering from acute liver failure. The only hope for saving her life is a liver transplant—and time is critical.
In a moment that brought our family to tears, Dior’s 23-year-old brother, Andre “Noodle” Jackson, stepped up without hesitation. He’s not only a big brother—he’s a hero. A Dean’s List student and a dedicated young man, Noodle was a perfect match and immediately volunteered to be Dior’s living donor. His courage, selflessness, and love for his sister are nothing short of inspiring.
The transplant surgery is scheduled for June 7th, and while insurance will cover portions of the medical care, there are still significant out-of-pocket costs for the family, including:
• Travel and transportation to and from the hospital
• Missed work and lost wages during the recovery period
• Temporary lodging and meals near the hospital
• Follow-up visits, medications, and ongoing care for both Dior and Noodle
Two children—one fighting for her life, the other giving a part of his to save hers—are about to undergo life-altering surgery. The recovery will take weeks. The emotional toll is heavy, and the financial burden is real.
We’re asking our community, friends, and anyone who feels moved by this story to help however they can. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing this page, every bit helps and is deeply appreciated.
Let’s surround Dior and Noodle with love, support, and hope. Let’s ease the burden so this family can focus on what matters most: healing.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
