Help Us Raise $30,000 for Nonnina’s Table:
Bringing Food & Essentials to 1,200 Families in Need This Holiday Season

This holiday season, I would deeply appreciate your support.

In 1997 Nonnina’s Table Charity was founded by my great aunt Joan in honour of her best friend Tina “Nonnina” who passed away from cancer. For almost 30 years Nonnina’s Table has been a beacon of hope for hundreds of vulnerable families in our city through serving hot meals and distributing food. Joan has dedicated her life to those in need ensuring they have access to nourishing food, necessary goods, and a little joy during the holidays. I have had the honour of working with Joan on these events and I’m a member of the organizing committee for this year’s event.

This holiday season things are a bit different. My aunt Joan is currently fighting her own battle with stage 4 cancer. Yet, her unwavering mission and commitment remains unchanged.

Joan’s goal this holiday season is for Nonnina’s Table to raise $30,000 to provide food, personal care products, and toys to 1200 families in need.

This campaign is intended to ease the stress of fundraising, which will allow Joan - who is a fierce fighter - to focus on the operations of this impactful holiday event and manage her health issues.

If you don’t know Joan, she is one of the most caring and committed humans I know, and gives generously to others with rare dedication. Over the years she has personally cooked thousands of meals and every week she provides groceries out of her own front door to newcomer and refugee families.

Joan is one of the most resourceful and thrifty people I know and impressively stretches Nonnina’s Table funding. For every $40 dollars raised, a family in need is provided with $200 worth of food and essential items to support them during the holiday season.

Please consider donating generously. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference in bringing hope and nourishing food to families in need this holiday season.

If you’re able to provide donations in the form of non-perishable food items, such as new personal care products, or new children’s toys, these will also be gladly accepted by our organization.

I am aggressively grateful for you supporting Nonnina’s Table and Joan during this challenging time. Thank you so much. Together, let’s make this season one of joy, much love, and compassion.
