Sharing this sad news, our dear friend and brother, Nong, has recently been detained by ICE.
Nong is someone who has always shown up for others with kindness, generosity, and a spirit that brings people together. He’s incredibly funny, the kind of person who can make anyone laugh, and he has a way of making everyone feel seen and special the moment they meet him.
So many of us have been lucky to know him, laugh with him, and experience the care he gives so freely to others.
During this incredibly difficult and uncertain time, we’re coming together to support him in any way we can.
We are now raising funds to help Nong build a new life in Laos after this difficult transition. Anything helps, and Nong would be so grateful and appreciative for your support. He never asks for help, but we want to do everything we can to support him during this time.
We’ll continue to stand by him and his family, and we thank you for doing the same.
His legal team has asked us to gather letters of support from people who know him; friends, customers, coworkers, and anyone whose life he’s touched. These letters can make a real difference in helping support his case.
If you’re willing to write one, please include:
• Who you are
• How you know Nong
• What kind of person he is…his character, kindness, and impact
• How his deportation would affect him and those around him
If possible, please sign your letter (a physical or digital signature is okay).
