- Hi my name is Nita and I am doing this on behalf of myself and my children. November 14 2025 i took my 9yr old daughter to the emergency room because she complained of stomach pain, they said it was her gallbladder, and the next day before they were planning the surgery the doctor noticed something and immediately transferred her to Loma Linda University Hospital, come to find out my daughter's heart was barely squeezing and they needed to do immediate surgery, they put her on Ecmo (its a machine that acts as a temporary heart, but only can be on it up to 14 days) thank God the procedure was successful, however my daughter did go into cardiac arrest for 20 minutes during the surgery, many kids dont make it on the machine, so it was a miracle she did. She was on the machine around 10 days, the doctors told us it was myocarditis a virus that affects only 1 in a million and at the hospital they see about 10 kids a year and only about 5 with this seriousness. They talked about a heart transplant may be needed but she was still too sick .Next she needed to be on dialysis for another week or so all of her organs had failed because of the virus and they said her gallbladder was completely dead! They still dont know if she will need a heart transplant, but the doctors felt that she needed to start more recovery because she wouldnt get any better just sitting in a bed So they transferred her to a rehabilitation hospital last week. She cannot talk or walk and being here is supposed to help her start getting back to her old self. I have 3 children, 2 girls and a boy, and I have been by my daughter side , due to my job which was temporary i cannot get unemployment, and it has been a struggle taking care of everything , we dont know how long she is going to be here or if she will need continued care after this, but bills, food, clothes for the kids, gas money of course, my car also needs repair since I go back and forth to see my other two children when i can but my focus is my oldest daughter right now, my two sisters are physically taking care of my other two children. I did not want to ask for help, but it has come to that point, it has been a long two months already and as I have said I dont know how long this journey will last. The Lord continues to work on my daughter and I am so grateful for that, but I I truly need help, if you can give i thank you, if you can share i thank you as well, if you can just pray i thank you too... God bless
