My name is Nishia Rodriguez, and I’m a single mother of three—two boys and a girl. Recently, I had to undergo an unexpected emergency surgery. I’ve been in the hospital for the past week and just made it home today, but I’m unable to return to work until May 8th.

During this time, I’m facing serious challenges keeping up with basic needs like rent, groceries, daycare, and household bills. Without a support system to fall back on, this has been an incredibly overwhelming and stressful situation for me and my children.
