Help Me Achieve My Dream and Reunite with My Family

Hi, my name is Nikita, and I am an international student in the United States. My journey here has been filled with more than just homesickness—it's been a story of growth, challenges, and dreams in the making.

I first came to the U.S. in 2019 as an AuPair with the intention of staying for just one year. But life had different plans for me, especially with the unexpected disruption of a global pandemic. That summer was the last time I saw my family, and since then, my life here has been a mix of opportunity and longing.

About a year ago, I made the decision to extend my stay in the U.S. and pursue my dream of furthering my education. At first, the thought of returning to school terrified me, but I quickly realized that earning a degree would bring me closer to my long-term career goals and provide a lasting legacy for my family. I will be the first of six children to graduate, and by doing so, I hope to pave the way for my siblings and future generations to follow.

However, this journey has not been without its struggles. My parents, especially, have faced the uncertainty of not knowing when I'll be able to return home. This year, my dad turns 60, and I’ve been dreaming of surprising him with a homecoming. It’s the perfect opportunity to renew my visa and continue my studies, but as an international student, the financial burden is significant.

I have been saving up for the next semester, but I’m still facing a gap. That’s where your help could make a difference. Any contribution, big or small, would mean the world to me, allowing me to reunite with my family, renew my visa, and continue working toward my degree and career goals.
