In January 2024, our lives changed forever when Nico was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.

This page was originally created to fuel his fight, to provide him with the specialized treatments and care he needed to face this aggressive cancer.

For 13 months, Nico showed us the true meaning of courage, supported by the incredible generosity of people like you.

After a fierce and dignified battle, Nico passed away on February 26, 2026. While our hearts are broken, we are moved by the fact that he was never alone in this fight.

Because of your donations, Nico had access to the best possible care and his family was able to be by his side every step of the way.

Nico’s story does not end here.

To honor his memory and the spirit of community that supported him, we are transitioning this mission into Hope Hub.

Founded by Nico’s mother, Hope Hub is a South African NPO dedicated to ensuring that no other family has to walk the path of childhood cancer unsupported. We are taking the lessons we learned, the love Nico gave us, and the funds remaining from this campaign to provide support, guidance, and financial aid for families in similar battles.
