Hello, my name is Khalid Kedir, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of Nicole and her partner, Jonathan.

Nicole is a devoted mother who has just experienced every parent’s worst nightmare: the loss of her baby boy, Karson, who was born on August 25th and passed away on November 11th, only two months old.

Nicole had barely begun healing from childbirth when tragedy struck. Like many parents, she was forced to return to work earlier than she wanted because she and Jonathan simply could not afford for her to stay home. On November 11th, while she was trying to provide for her family, Nicole received the devastating news that Karson had suffocated while in the care of a daycare.

Nicole carried Karson for nine months, brought him into this world, and loved him with every part of her heart. She had just begun bonding with her little boy, learning his expressions, his cries, his warmth, and in a single moment, her entire world shattered. No mother should ever have to walk this painful path, especially so soon after giving birth.

Jonathan, who loved Karson deeply, is heartbroken as well. But the weight Nicole is carrying — physically, emotionally, and spiritually — is something no mother should endure alone.

This fundraiser is meant to help Nicole with:

• Funeral and memorial costs

• Time off work to grieve and heal

• Basic bills and expenses during this overwhelming period of pain

Nicole is a strong woman, but no amount of strength can prepare a mother for losing her child. Any help, big or small, will give her space to grieve without the added burden of financial stress.
