Support Nicole and Jack After Loss

My name is Nicole Robertson. My father, Gerald Dunn, died on March 21st at 64 years old. He has been a single father to me and my brother our entire lives and our main support system.

Since then, I have taken on the responsibility of planning his memorial and acquiring him a headstone which ranges from 3-5k . 

I also would like to buy an obituary slot in the News Tribune which is $1,261.14 

so all his older friends can be notified, and my grandma can cut it out and keep it.

My little brother lived with my dad as his caretaker, and my dad was his best friend. I am asking for help with rent as we adjust to this new lifestyle as Jack cannot stay in the house he lived with my dad in, and I have missed a good amount of work (my cousin also died on March 2nd, and I took a week off to grieve before my dad died).

I live in a one-bedroom apartment. We are looking at two bedrooms, which range around $2k a month. These rent funds would help us with first and last rent/deposit.

Jack also has no work experience other than helping my dad at Habitat for Humanity and caring for my dad when he was ill. He also does not drive, so I’d like to get him into driving courses so he can get to work. (My dad thankfully bought him a truck, but it’s manual, and I cannot teach him.) These funds would make it so I’m not relying on anyone who promises they can teach him, and we can just sign him up for classes and get going.

Furthermore, his tooth is falling out, and he will need dental work and also clothes for interviews.

Any donations will help us adjust in this time of loss as my dad didn’t have a will or savings.
