Four months ago, my brother and his fiancée Nicole took a huge step together — they bought their first home, excited to build their future. They had set their wedding date for May 2026. Plans were already in motion: a venue was booked, her dress was chosen, and they were filled with joy and hope for the life they were building.

But just a few days ago, our world was shattered. My brother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the age of 33.

He was a good man. Stubborn, yes — but also so incredibly smart, endlessly thoughtful, and full of love. He found joy in the little things and lit up when he could make the people around him smile. He was the kind of person who remembered the small details, who gave more than he took, and who made the people he loved feel truly seen.

Now, Nicole is facing a future she never planned for — emotionally devastated and financially overwhelmed. With the loss of his income, she can no longer afford the home they chose together. On top of that, she’s already paid non-refundable deposits for their wedding, including her dress and venue.
