In June of 2024, Nicholas "Nicky" Consolo went to his dermatologist to check out some skin rash. Following an immediate referral to the ER, the biopsy results revealed a very rare blood cancer known as Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm (BPDCN). Anyone that knows Nicky knows he has never backed down from a fight. Over the next year, he has been fighting whatever came at him. The problem has come that Nicky no longer has anything to fight. Because of the rarity of the disease, he is out of fight. His most recent test results were not in his favor, and he has pretty much been told he lost this fight. Literally only a miracle can help him now.

His doctor sent him home yesterday, and he has a follow-up appointment on Friday. He is seeking a second opinion, but his cancer is so rare it is not promising. His doctor has told him 2 months... yes... possibly not making Labor Day. We all know it could be longer, but he is not sure his body can handle another round of chemotherapy, etc. He is retaining a lot of fluid, and his blood platelets won't stay up.

He asked to live the rest of his days to the fullest with all of his friends and family. As you can imagine, Nicky has a million different emotions. One of his main concerns is his family. We are raising money to ease the blow of this devastating situation and ensure his family has the funds needed to deal with this blow today, tomorrow, and in the future.
