Support Nick's Children in his Memory

June 7, 2021 is a day that forever changed my and my family’s world. This is the day we discovered that my brother’s life had been violently taken the evening prior. Our entire family is still in shock and grief-stricken by this tragic event. Nicholas Andrew Bunten is remembered by his family, friends, and three children (ages 10, 6, and 4 years old) who were looking forward to celebrating their dad’s 32nd birthday at the end of the month.
Who Nick was:
Nick loved fireworks. When reflecting on who he was as a person, he himself was a firework.
Nick could talk to anyone and made friends wherever he went. He never ran out of things to talk about and wasn’t afraid to try something new. He loved to cook and would proudly send our mom pictures of the dinners he made. Nick had an entrepreneurial spirit with plans to support his family with his own car detailing
business.
Nick was always willing to drop everything and lend a hand to somebody in need. He helped our mom with yard work and worked with our dad in his business, Steve's Moving Company. He had a huge heart and genuinely cared about the people in his life.
Nick had so much love for his family - he was a brother to myself and my sister, an uncle to our kids, and our parents' youngest child. Nick was also a devoted father to three amazing children. Among so many other things his children will miss about their dad, they will miss: going on boat rides, going to car shows, playing ball at the park, and - Nick’s personal favorite - watching fireworks in the sky. He poured his all into trying to create the best life he could for his children and would do anything for them.
Nick’s death has been a shock to us all. To say this is a hard time would be an understatement. We are all grieving and heartbroken. His children’s lives especially have been turned upside down.
What the funds will be used for:
To help support Nick's children it is our hope to fund their futures. Donations will be split evenly and put into a personal savings account for each of the three children. These savings accounts were created when they were babies and are managed by Nick's parents.
My family is tremendously grateful for your support as we learn to navigate life without Nick in it.
