- Hi everyone, my name is Nickoy Richards, and I am reaching out to the community for help at this time for my family as we are near experiencing another crisis.
- Everything started last year when my wife was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which kept her from working due to having brain surgery here in Louisiana at Oschner Hospital. This effectively turned us into a one-income household at a time when things were already very strained. This strained our finances significantly, and we were barely able to stay afloat. As a result, we were also unable to keep our full coverage insurance due to this.
- My wife, who was also expecting during this time, was driving on I-10 when she had a car break down in front of her while leaving work one morning in March of this year. The car was damaged significantly when she had to swerve to avoid hitting the other vehicle, and in doing so, she hit the guard rail on the bridge. Due to this, the car is not drivable, meaning we have no transportation. Due to us living outside the city, we are at risk of losing our home since we cannot commute to work.
- We are asking for those of you who can to please find it in your hearts to donate what you can to help us get our vehicle fixed. Due to the lack of full coverage, which we just couldn’t afford at the time, we were unable to get the vehicle fixed through Direct Auto, with damages totaling $5,000+ due to parts and inner cooler damage to the vehicle.
