Justice for Nicholas!!!
We need to get justice for our son, our proud US Marine.
Please share with others to help us get the word out.
His respectful and allowed memorial keeps getting removed and assumingly thrown in the trash. This includes the US flag and the US Marines flag.
HELP US BRING THE THIEF OR THIEVES TO JUSTICE FOR NICHOLAS!!
A BRIEF REMINDER OF THAT FATEFUL DAY.
He was on his way to meet friends for a ride on an unseasonably warm day last October, 10/26/23.
This is still an open investigation, so there are MANY, MANY details we're unable to mention yet. Here are the details that we have so far...
Nicholas’ dad and I had placed a memorial at the accident scene in remembrance of where this tragedy happened. A place that friends and family would visit regularly to feel close to Nicholas.
This memorial continues to be removed. Initially, we placed our memorial on the town of Colonie easement. That allowed someone to ‘complain’ to Albany County, causing Albany County employees to come and take it down. Once this was discovered, we contacted the county and were advised yes, they did remove the memorial because someone complained. They went as far as to advise that Albany County does not legally allow roadside memorials. We found that shocking, given the many, many memorials we see throughout the county on a day in and day out basis. So, it was removed. Nick's dad went and collected the items. We then sought permission from the property owner to replace the memorial on their property instead. Permission granted.
The memorial was replaced two days before Thanksgiving 2024, now on private property. On Thanksgiving morning, we went to visit, and much to our surprise, it was removed again. We reached out to Albany County again, though this time they knew nothing of the removal. We were upset and became suspicious. The memorial was replaced a third time on 1/1/25. It again was removed. The heartbreak continues.
We replaced the memorial for the fourth time, this time it was placed on 1/5/2025. On Monday, 1/6/2025, the memorial was removed again. We were able to spread the word to friends and family to keep their eyes peeled. We need help to secure an attorney and help with legal expenses to pursue this further.
Nicholas was a good man, a great son, an honorable Marine, and a true friend. He did no harm. He loved hard and worked harder. He had his mind set and was determined to be a success.
The fact that his memorial is being disgraced and vandalized/stolen repeatedly is NOT okay. We want to retain representation to pursue the thieves.
If you can help, we will greatly appreciate your help. If you cannot contribute financially, we ask that you keep your eyes open, pay attention to the accident site, the memorial, and help us bring this inhuman, heartless person to justice. We WILL continue to replace the memorial EVERY TIME it is removed or stolen.
We thank you profoundly for reading and caring about our story, our situation. JUSTICE FOR NICHOLAS CAMILLI. NO ONE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE ABOVE THE LAW.
HELP US PURSUE AND GET PROSECUTED THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR PROPERTY.
Thank you and God bless you all.
