Hi, I'm Niamh Mongey and I'm fundraising to be your next councillor for the Ballyfermot-Drimnagh area on Dublin City Council.
I have decided to run as a candidate in the local elections, because as a community, we are frustrated.
I don't want to be priced out of the city, surrounded by the community I have built. I want children - my children - and lower income families to be able to live safely and comfortably in the city. I want to encourage the regeneration of our city and rebuild a sense of civic pride.
- I am passionate about making our streets clean, safe and accessible for all
- I am passionate about using the spaces we have to serve our community - particularly young and older people
- I want to encourage communities to participate and to build a sense of civic pride
- I want to make sure that local people are involved in the development of their area
To reach as many voters in my electoral area as I can, I am going to need your help.
€10 will help me pay for an ad on social media
€50 will help me pay for five election posters
€500 will help me pay for 10,000 leaflets
€1000 will help me host 1 large scale public meeting
Donations can only be accepted from residents of the Republic of Ireland or Irish citizens abroad. I cannot accept donations over €1000 from one person and cannot take anonymous donations over €100. I may have to contact you after donation to confirm the details.
By donating, you confirm that you are an Irish resident or an Irish citizen living overseas and that you have not exceeded the maximum annual donation to the Social Democrats of €2500. If you have any questions before donating please don't hesitate to ask!.
