Maeve Stanton for Building Hope in the City
Donation protected
Building Hope in the City’s Hope Center helps newcomer children feel welcome and creates community while providing important support to parents. I volunteered at the Hope Center and spent time with young children so their parents could attend English language and naturalization classes. I learned about the difficulties refugee children face adjusting to life in Cleveland. They have had to leave their homes, friends, schools, and everything that was familiar behind because it was no longer safe for them to live in their country. As someone who was born and raised in the same safe community, I cannot imagine how hard being a newcomer child must be.
I am asking for your support to help Building Hope in the City’s Hope Center provide after school programs for newcomer children. These programs will help build friendships and create a supportive community for children who have left everything behind. Any amount donated is appreciated.
Your donation is requested by April 25, 2025.
Thank you,
Maeve
