Support New Sweet Home Accessibility Campaign

Donation protected
My name is Pastor Albert Macklin, and I serve as the Senior Pastor of the New Sweet Home Church in East Palo Alto. I’m reaching out to ask for your support today on a matter very close to my heart. As some of you may know, I am completely blind, having had both of my eyes removed in 2020. With the help of my guide dog, Winter, I continue to serve our community faithfully as a leader and advocate.

At our church, we are currently working to remodel our access entrance to ensure that our facility is accessible to everyone, including those who use wheelchairs and individuals with disabilities like myself. For over 80 years, our church has provided critical resources to the community—education, technology programs, feeding and grocery initiatives—but our current ramp, built 40 years ago, is steep and unsafe, preventing many from easily accessing these services. Some have even fallen due to the ramp’s condition, highlighting the urgent need for this renovation.

We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming space where everyone can fully participate in what we offer. But we can't do it alone—we need your help. Your support will make a real difference by ensuring that all members of our community have the opportunity to join us and benefit from the resources we provide.

Please consider joining us in this effort by contributing today. Together, we can make our church and its vital services accessible to all.

Thank you for your time, generosity, and commitment to helping us serve.

Warm regards,
Pastor Albert Macklin
