Greetings, Neurospicers! (our term for neurodivergent members) and everyone!

Welcome to Neurospicy SA adult socials' GoFundMe! We are a local group in San Antonio, TX, that focuses on socialization and relationship building for neurodivergent (neurospicy) adults (ages 18 and up) in our community. We wish for those who want to make friends and connections to meet others with similar struggles and strengths, bond with them, learn from each other, and feel safe in a welcoming space.

Meredith Marks, our director and organizer, started hosting in June 2024 under the name of a different group called A Shire Gathering, which took place at Shire House, a group home for young adults with autism as they learn to become more independent. After the shutdown of Shire House in November 2024, she created her own group, Neurospicy SA, for adults in the neurodivergent community who want to socialize and make friends like them.

Today, Neurospicy SA has around 10 to 20 people attending every event on average. We are growing in size quickly and are reaching out to places like SAPL's Central Library, Tycoon Flats N St. Mary's Strip, Sunset Brews, San Antonio Clubhouse, and more places for collaborations and programs. We have events planned and hosted at local restaurants, such as Diana's Burgers, Tycoon Flats N Stt. Mary's Strip, Sunset Brews, and I Love Churros, with many more to come.

We use donation funds to pay for venues, new activities and games, venue fees, and anything else we need to give our Neurospicers a good experience and social.
