Support Nerd Knights After Flood Loss

Hi friends,

My name is Alyssa, with Nerd Knights, a group of passionate volunteers who bring free live-action fantasy combat to local fairs, festivals, schools, and community events. We show up in costume, teach kids and adults how to fight with foam weapons, and share the joy of creativity, play, and old-school adventure.

Unfortunately, our home recently flooded, destroying our entire kitchen, dining room, utility room, and RedGuy's personal living quarters. We lost a huge amount of the equipment that makes Nerd Knights possible—costumes, props, armor, boots, weapons, lighting gear, batteries, and more. Most of it was built or collected over years, and a lot of it isn’t easily replaced. RedGuy was nearly solely responsible for every combat event we hosted, at Nordic Fire Festival just last February, and he was hit the hardest, as the floor his room is on was the one that flooded.

We’ve always offered our shows and interactive booths for free because we believe in bringing people together and making magic without a paywall. But right now, we need a little help from our community to keep going.
