Support Nepali Women

Shenandoah University's first-year seminar course "Don't Sleep on Sleep" is raising money to benefit Visible Impact , a charity dedicated to helping improve living conditions for women and youth in Nepal, especially those in rural areas that practice chhaupadi. In chhaupadi, menstruating women and girls may not participate in normal household activities (like sleeping), and instead are confined to an outdoor menstruation hut, where they are exposed to numerous health and safety risks. Needless to say, women confined to these huts aren't able to experience adequate sleep.

We are raising money through this gofundme page, bake sales at Shenandoah University (Dec. 2nd & 9th), and a drawing for a free night's stay at Tru by Hilton Hotel in Winchester, Virginia. All gofundme donors will be entered into the drawing as well. Thanks to Tru for the donation!
