Who keeps us safe? We keep us safe.
We are Bancroft, a South Minneapolis neighborhood that is home to a tight-knit community of people of all ages and from all walks of life. Over the past few months, ICE has ripped many of our neighbors out of our community, devastating families and leaving them terrified and hiding in their homes, often with no way to access food or earn a living.
Thanks to the incredible support from compassionate people near and far, we’ve been able to help keep many families afloat with support through rent assistance, food, hygiene items, and other essentials.
But the work is not over, and the urgent need remains. Our neighbors need support.
Despite headlines announcing that the metro surge is ending, parents are still too afraid to leave their homes. And even those who are beginning to return to work face devastating financial situations. As March 1 approaches, so do rent due dates. The need among our neighbors in and around Bancroft is far greater than we're able to meet. But you can help!
Please make a generous donation today. A gift of any amount can offer a lifeline to a family struggling to return to some sense of normalcy.
$50 can put food on the table for another week
$250 can provide diapers, wipes, and baby formula to young families still in hiding
$500 can make all the difference in rent assistance for a family at risk of eviction
Your support will help our neighbors stay in their homes with the food and essentials they need as they try to get back on their feet. Your support will keep our neighbors safe.
If you and/or your family have been impacted by this crisis and need assistance, please use this link to fill out the intake form to request support: https://www.bancroftneighborhood.org/help-intake-form
