From 2001-2005, I served in the Peace Corps in Bangladesh and then Mongolia. I shared cultures with the communities that welcomed me. I learned new languages. I became a teacher and made lifelong connections. I then continued working for the Peace Corps over nine years as a staffer in Washington D.C. and Mongolia.

I now serve on the Board of NPCA, a non-profit that promotes all things Peace Corps. We support volunteers when they return home. We advocate for the Peace Corps.
