I have traveled on my own to Peace Corps countries around the world for the past three months. I have witnessed firsthand the work that Peace Corps Volunteers are doing around the world with enthusiasm and compassion. Returned Peace Corps Volunteers continue the pattern of service throughout their lives to others in their communities and around the world.

On this Giving Tuesday I have chosen to support the National Peace Corps Association, a non-profit standing up for current and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers. With all of the turmoil on the national and international stage this is no time to sit on the sidelines. The Peace Corps was started in 1961, I served in the 1970s and it is needed now more than ever.
