Support Nathan's Journey Through Vision Loss

Dear Friends and Family,

My sweet capybara Nathan has recently been diagnosed with Hereditary Retinal Dystrophy. This is an infection with his eyes that he has been dealing with since the age of 4 years old. Unfortunately, his symptoms have been progressively getting worse, which will soon cause him to lose his vision completely. We have been going to different specialists for different testing, and the results have concluded the same. There is no cure for Nathan's disease. We have to pay for genetic testing to be done to find out which gene mutated, and if there is ever a trial, he would be eligible. We still have many more appointments to go, and this will be a long journey since he does have to start learning how to function without his vision.

As we prepare for this, Nathan has created a "Vision Bucket List" of special things he wants to see. I have taken on a second job to cover bills and appointments; however, I am asking for any donations to help complete his list. This has been very hard for me to process because he is my baby, my firstborn, my guero with the heart of gold. I would just like to make sure Nathan gets to see all of the things he hasn't. Anything and everything helps. Also, please pray for my sweet boy because we know miracles exist, and if he could at least keep the little vision he has for the rest of his life, IT WOULD BE AMAZING!
