Support Nathania & Michael's Family after Losing RVs to Fire

On June 29, 2025, I had a smoke sesh with the universe but like in a bad way lmao

We moved to Fairfield in April 2025 to stay with family until we found a spot. We weren't even fully mentally/financially/physically recovered from our roommates leaving our lease in Milpitas in Feb 2025. My uncle has been letting our little family stay in my dad's RV parked in their driveway.

On June 29 at 3:30ish in the morning, I woke up to a panicking dog and the smell of burning plastic. I looked out the window to burning embers and quickly spreading flames in our neighbor's front yard. I immediately called my cousin and woke everyone up. We called 911 and alerted the neighbors as I ran out without a jacket or shoes, just clutching Oakley like a Gucci bag (cuz I didn't grab his harness). I also forgot my car keys but thankfully Friday (my car) is fine. As I looked back the flames had already reached a little bit of my uncle's RV. The sirens started and I had hopes and kept praying. Michael had Snow's leash around his waist and we ran to the park far away from the house. Snow's instincts to escape woke us up so she is for real the hero. I had Oakley, my phone, and my wallet. Michael had his phone, Snow, and a jacket. It didn't really occur to me that those might be the only things we had left of our things. I could've grabbed my keys and shoes but priorities

We are so appreciative to the Fairfield Fire Department for getting there with enough time to contain the spreading flames. I don't remember what time we were in the clear to go see what was going on, but when my cousin texted me they went back into their house, I assumed that meant we could go back into their RV. Eek.

I asked the police officer if we could go in and she didn't know people were staying there, then told us both RVs were ruined. We spoke to the fire marshall and he eventually let Michael go inside to retrieve what we could. Pretty much all our personal belongings were stored in my dad's RV. All our clothes, electronics, work things, business things, and sports memorabilia were turned to ash or melted into a glob.

We are very grateful that our family is safe, but our prayers go out to the animals and families that had injuries. This fundraiser is to help with expenses to help my uncle with repairs he needs to do after we get rid of the RV, expenses my dad needs to cover for anything related, and expenses to help Michael and I to recover from this silly unfortunate event.

Thank you to the community for reaching out, and I ask if anyone can share this #reel or #gofundme link that would be awesome. Plz pray for our sanity as we navigate, yet again, this silly situation.

Sincerely,
Nathania, Michael, Oakley, & Snow
