Hi, my name is Nate. My son Adian came to visit during his winter break. Much to my surprise, I soon discovered that Adian would be living with me permanently. Adian is 18 years old, but he has been diagnosed with AUDHD (part of the autism spectrum). My current living situation is not set up to accommodate Adian's needs let alone both of us full-time.

I am asking for financial support to help us relocate to a more stable and consistent living environment. I have started the process to get Adian a case manager and discover what resources are available to us. I have already done a lot of legwork in a very short time, and the paperwork has been overwhelming, and some resources have a waitlist.

Not only am I seeking a more suitable living situation, but I am also looking for more consistent and stable employment that has flexibility and can work with me as I care for Adian.

For those who may not know me, allow me to share a bit about myself. I was a correctional officer in downtown Baltimore for 4 years. After an altercation at the jail, I was left 25%. permanently disabled in my right arm. During COVID I was a volunteer EMT/Firefighter. I was awarded "Rookie of the Year" in 2019. I have always tried to help the community and people whenever possible, and now I would ask for that same support. Thank you.
