Narcare is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to prevent overdose deaths throughout the United States by focusing on greater accessibility of Naloxone, Fentynal test strips, and through workshops to educate the general public regarding the opioid epidemic. The opioid epidemic is one of the largest public health crises that affects the United States to this day and we aim to combat this head on by working with public health agencies and officials alongside the countless volunteer hours our members sacrifice.
Overall, we hope to bolster a collective- youth-led resolve to address the opioid crisis through a multi pronged approach. This includes the assembly and distribution of naloxone harm reduction kits to students, universities, businesses, homeless shelters, and other organizations throughout the nation, the spreading of awareness surrounding the importance of overdose prevention, conducting research, and leading opioid overdose reversal training workshops. By focusing on both training and distribution, we can equip our community with the knowledge and resources necessary to fight the opioid epidemic.
