My name is Naquel Anderson, and I am a Supermom. Being a mother is all I know, Being a mother is the best thing I know how to be. For ten years I have lived in Barnegat Township raising my two teenage sons to the best of my ability, as a single mother. In a world filled with ugly statistics including gangs, drugs, gun violence and even wrongful convictions, its imperative that I be the best example of a strong single mother. Setting boundaries because you want the absolute best for your teenage sons, should never be considered a crime, and neither should a mother have to suffer for doing so.

On September 26, 2024 my entire world was shattered. Without a thought, without a question, without given a chance, my entire family was disposed. I was wrongfully taken away from the people who mean the absolute most to me. I was falsely accused of striking my 17 year old son with a closed fist in his face, and also striking him in the face with a metal pole. These allegations were even investigated by the Department of children family services immediately that same day and were unfounded. Still, within 48 hours, I was forced to sign a guilty plea, that if I did not sign, I would never see my children again.

For nearly 10 months I had to endure the worst pain, suffering without my children, as they suffered without me. Due to my incarceration, my family lost our home , our three dogs were placed in a shelter, and everything that we own was disposed of.

Since being released from The Ocean County Jail, I am struggling to rebuild the life that we once knew. My family is currently now homeless, and we are all separated from each other at this time.

I am shattered behind the injustice that continues to destroy innocent families. I am asking if you can please share my story, and help put my family back together again. I thank you all for your support.
