Hello friends. My name is Jackie. I met Naomi almost 10 years ago while we were attending community college together. We quickly became close and have shared a bond that’s been tested in every way ever since. She is a devoted mother to her three, soon to be four, children and her amazing furbaby Evie. Recently, she has come across difficulties in her personal life as well as her health.

She’s doing everything in her power to stay strong and show her little ones how supported and loved they are. This is our chance to step in and help. Below is a message from Naomi:

“Dear Friends and Community,

My name is Naomi Lopez. I am a domestic violence survivor currently navigating a very challenging season while caring for my three children, all under the age of four, and expecting my fourth baby in July. As I work to protect and provide stability for my children, I am also managing serious health challenges, including heart failure that requires ongoing medical care. I currently receive IV treatment three times a week, with each session lasting about 4–6 hours. During this time, I must also arrange care for my young children while continuing to meet their daily needs.

After six years of marriage, I learned that my husband had concealed a criminal history that included multiple arrests and domestic violence-related charges. This discovery came to light through criminal court proceedings. The situation forced me to make the difficult decision to step away from the marriage in order to protect my children and provide them with a safe and stable environment. Throughout our marriage, I had stepped away from my career to focus on completing my degree and caring for our children, which allowed my husband to focus on his career while we saved on childcare. Since separating, he has discontinued financial support, leaving me responsible for caring for our children and managing our household while navigating the legal process and my medical treatments.

Despite these challenges, I remain committed to speaking truthfully in court and doing everything I can to protect and care for my children. They are bright, loving little ones who deserve safety, stability, and a hopeful future. At this time, I am reaching out to our community for support in a few critical areas: gas cards for transportation to medical appointments and therapy, rental or utility assistance, evening childcare support while I attend treatments, and any newborn, baby, or toddler essentials—such as a crib, baby wipes, newborn supplies, baby wash, lotion, bottles, sippy cups, groceries, Pediasure for my one-year-old, and clothing for my growing children and myself. If anyone knows of family law resources, grants, or legal assistance programs, I would be deeply grateful. I have reached out to several pro bono and legal aid organizations in Southern California, but many are currently at full capacity.

This is incredibly difficult for me to share, as I never imagined I would be in this situation. I am humbly asking for help in any way possible—donations, sharing this fundraiser, resources, prayers, or even free or discounted items. Any support, resources, or even prayers during this time would mean so much to my family. Your kindness and generosity, in any form, are received with extreme gratitude.
