Naomi came to Michigan from São Paulo, Brazil, in 2022 as an exchange student and graduated from East Lansing High School, but she became so much more than just a visitor. Michigan quickly became her second home, filled with people who love her and countless memories we've shared together.

Naomi is truly one of a kind — the most selfless and caring person, with the warmest aura. She's silly, full of adventure, and brings so much joy to everyone around her.

Naomi was finally supposed to move to the U.S. She came back in March 2025 on a visitor visa, but due to unfortunate unforeseen circumstances, she now has to return home. Because Naomi is on a visitor visa, she isn't allowed to work until she becomes a citizen. With the unexpected costs of traveling back, Naomi and her family are struggling to cover the expenses.
