Support NAH Union’s ULP Strike Fund
NAH Union is asking for your support. Please consider donating to our Strike Hardship Fund. Funds will be dispersed to unit members to help offset the cost of the ULP Strike, which was authorized by a 100% vote. Funds will go toward missed wages for affected employees and organizing supplies as needed. We have a talented and dedicated team, willing to fight for each other and for what we strongly believe all our callers deserve. We want to show up for them too. Context
The NAH Union team has been bargaining since October and has made significant progress toward a deal in all areas outside of the AI provisions we proposed. Our ask is that NAF management be required to bargain with us before implementing technology that would directly result in layoffs on our team. This does not prohibit any use of AI or guarantee that our team won’t face layoffs. We are at a loss for why this is not an easy provision to grant given the importance and sensitivity of the work that we do.
NAF management refused to come back to the table and has since conditioned our return to the table on further concessions in this area, where we have already offered significant movement. This is not good faith bargaining and as a result NAF Union filed an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP). Despite many attempts at conversation and collaboration, and many solidarity actions to impress on management the importance of this issue to every employee and to those we work with and work for, NAF management has continued to refuse to meaningfully bargain over the implementation of AI on the Hotline.
100% of NAH Union members voted to authorize a ULP Strike to force NAF management to bargain fairly, in good faith, and in accordance with the values this work requires of us.
