Help Support My Wildland Firefighter Journey
I am embarking on a journey to become a wildland firefighter, a career that not only promotes my personal growth, but also allows me to serve my community in a very real way. This move is not just a job for me; it's a commitment to protect and support my community, and I am sincerely proud to take on this challenge. However, to get started, I need some financial support to cover essential expenses.
I paid the $400 out of pocket expenses to get certified with my fingers crossed that I could gather the rest of the resources for this career move.
Currently, I am facing a seriously tight deadline. My crew begins training May 17th and I have less than a week to gather the necessary funds. Despite working Instacart and various odd jobs, it's been more than challenging to cover all my expenses. My car, which is crucial for my current job, need I urgent renewals. Additionally, I still need some firefighting equipment and other essential gear.
