I, Mia, absolve my nursing internship at the maternal ward in Leganga hospital in the Arusha area. Many mothers arrive here with absolutely nothing, not even food. The hospital does not provide meals and countless women go through labor and recovery without anything to eat. Others can’t afford baby formula or diapers, which are expensive and out of reach for many families here.

The incredible nurses, midwives and doctors in the Labour ward do everything they can to support these mothers and babies, often going above and beyond their duties. But they need help.

 With your support, we can provide essential supplies like nutritious food for mothers, infant formula for newborns, ambu bags, diapers and baby clothes especially for those who cannot breastfeed or who have no family support. 

Isaac, a brave Young Man in Urgent Need
Isaac is a young man who has lost everything, his entire family and tragically, his leg in a truck accident. He is now completely alone and struggling to survive. Right now, he urgently needs help to pay his rent and stay off the streets.

Our wish has been to give Isaac a prosthetic leg, which is now thankfully being covered by another big donor.

The last 12 months Isaac has been renting a room, which he has not been able to pay for. It is therefore our hope to donate 150 euro, which will cover his rent for the last year. Furthermore, we wish to give Isaac a proper bed and mattress, to give him some much needed comfort in his time of need.

Helping Isaac in this way, will ensure that he gets his mobility back, but also dignity and hope for the future
