As many of you know, last year I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer with Andean Community Partners in Peru's Andean mountains, focusing on improving health and well-being in the Huilloc Community. The experience left a lasting impression on me, to know I could help so many receive the care the community needed.

I'm hoping to join ACP on the mission trip again in January 2026- and I would love your support in making it happen.

I am setting a goal of $5,000.00 to pay for trip costs to travel to Peru with Andean Community Partners. This trip is and mission is entirely volunteer-based. The money raised will go towards my accommodations, meals (group meals provided with the mission), transportation, and airfare.

I would love to share more about my experience with ACP and the wonderful people of the Huilloc Community. I had the joy of helping to provide medical and dental care to the Huilloc community, ranging from young kids to grandparents. ACP has staffed and supported this clinic for the past 20+ years. The clinics offer annual checkups and routine care, but they also help patients enter the Peruvian healthcare system more effectively, in partnership with Health Bridges International. This is a very important aspect of the medical mission – helping community members become advocates for their own health and wellbeing. Oftentimes the language barrier and lack of access to the proper channels keeps community members from getting the care they need. Through the clinics, we help increase their chances of seeing the proper caregiver and receiving the care they need. ACP also provides adult education for parents in the community. Instructors from the school taught moms and dads the reading and writing skills necessary for them to become their own best self advocates in Peru’s healthcare and welfare programs. It was such an honor to be a part of this mission, and experience the love of the Huilloc community.
