Service has always been a part of my life. Growing up in the south, I witnessed firsthand the power of community and compassion as I assisted those impacted by natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina. These experiences were nothing short of miraculous, not just for those we helped, but for me as well. They taught me the value of giving back and the profound impact that even small acts of kindness can have on individuals and entire communities.

Recently, I had the blessing to travel to Peru in 2025 for a similar service trip. That journey opened my eyes to the needs of underprivileged areas and deepened my commitment to providing relief wherever I can. Now, I have the opportunity to join an incredible service excursion to Tanzania, where I’ll be working alongside local non-profits to support a school, a women’s refuge center, and participate in projects like building wells, distributing water filters, and teaching health education. We’ll also engage in community outreach, supporting pregnant and postpartum women, and help with construction projects at orphanages and schools.

The funds raised will cover all-inclusive costs for this trip—travel, lodging, supplies, project expenses, and some food. A portion will also go directly to the charity company and the communities we’re serving. Your support will not only help me participate in this life-changing experience, but will also make a real difference for those in need in Tanzania.
