Support my Medical Mission Trip to Guatemala
Donation protected
Hi friends and family! For those of you who don’t know, I am currently a Physician Assistant Student at Salus University. This summer, I will finish my didactic year and start my clinical rotations in September. In August, before starting my clinical year, I have the opportunity to volunteer on a medical mission trip to Zacapa, Guatemala, with my university. Through several community medical clinics and under faculty supervision, our purpose is to provide high-quality medical care to patients living in impoverished areas who have minimal access to regular healthcare. Salus partners with the nonprofit organization Hearts in Motion, which works to provide quality medical care, education, and the development of social programs to improve the health, education and welfare of residents throughout Central and South America. In Guatemala, HIM operates a children’s home, nutrition center, senior center, rehabilitation centers, and sponsorship program for school-age children, and provides medical and surgical care, education and training programs, construction projects, and emergency responder services and equipment. For over 30 years, HIM has positively touched and changed the lives of thousands of volunteers and hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people in poverty or distress. You can visit their website at heartsinmotion.org for more information!
I am hoping to fundraise some of the personal costs for travel and housing. If you would like to donate towards my personal expenses, please use my gofundme link below!
If you would like to donate directly towards medical supplies, medication and the overall group for the trip, you can use this link and comment that it is for Salus University: https://secure.heartsinmotion.org/np/clients/heartsinmotion/donation.jsp?forwardedFromSecureDomain=1
Thank you, I appreciate any help you can provide!
