Support my marathon for MBMHMC

Donation protected
On Saturday, October 2, 2021, I will run a marathon (26.2 miles) on behalf of Chicago nonprofit My Block My Hood My City.

All proceeds from the run will benefit the Explorer's Program, an initiative of this org which leads Chicago youth from under-resourced neighborhoods on educational explorations of the city.

Your donation will directly support this cause by helping to pay for things like transportation to and from the exploration, food, internet hotspots and hand sanitizer.

Last year, through your generous support, we donated $1,378.26 ($1,425 in total raised, minus $46.74 in gofundme fees) to this program. Let's try and beat it! For this year's run, I have set a fundraising goal of $1,500.

As an added bonus, for every $25 you donate to this fundraiser, you can suggest 1 song to add to my music playlist which I will listen to while I run. Donate $50 = 2 songs, and so on. Place your music selection(s) in your donation comment on this website.

Note: Your option to comment pops up after you donate. Let's gooooo!!

The Course: The North Branch Trail. I'll run the length of the Red trail (15.9 mi), plus loop around the Black trail (4.4 mi) until 26.2 mi is reached.
