Hi, my name is Benjamin Hopkins, I am a young Christian who is looking to make a difference. I am a prospective medical student and I feel the next step in my faith and career is to join YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in Ålesund, Norway. From early September to the end of December I will be learning more about what it is to be a Christian in todays world, hearing Gods voice, evangelism and much more. After I have completed my 'lecture phase', I will begin my 'outreach phase', where I will hopefully join the Medical Ships in Papua New Guinea. I will volunteer here for three months, into mid March. I was brought up in a Christian home and with the help of my family, namely my dad, I have grown a lot in my walk with Jesus. I love Jesus with all my heart and I want his name to be known, "To know God and to make Him known". As I want to study Medicine, YWAM has provided me with the perfect opportunity to grow in my faith, as my dad described YWAM as a "Faith Greenhouse", learn how to tell people The Good News and make a difference in an environment that I would like to work in one day. The money will be going towards my registration fee of £200,

£3300 for the lecture phase (accommodation, studies and food),

£2900 for the 'outreach phase', (flights, food, running costs of the Medical Ships)

£500 for the volunteering visa required
