Support My Father's Journey to Walk the Talk for Dementia

My name is Carolina Duran, and my father has been living with Frontotemporal Dementia since 2020. My father and I have the honor of being selected to participate in Walking the Talk for Dementia in August 2025—a unique and important event that will bring together families and people impacted by dementia from around the world. For a week, we will walk a portion of the Camino de Santiago-Spain, sharing experiences, gaining support, and advocating for better rights for those living with dementia.

The journey of living with Frontotemporal dementia has been difficult and full of challenges, but international organizations such as WTD provides the opportunity to create a support system, access education, and find hope. Mi nombre es Carolina Duran, y mi padre vive con Demencia Frontotemporal desde 2020. Mi padre y yo tenemos el honor de haber sido seleccionados para participar en Walking the Talk for Dementia en Agosto 2025, un evento único e importante que reunirá a familias y personas afectadas por la demencia de todo el mundo. Durante una semana, caminaremos una parte del Camino de Santiago-Espana, compartiendo experiencias, obteniendo apoyo y abogando por mejores derechos para quienes viven con demencia.
