Hello, my name is Jennifer Hills. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my family, who have lived in our beloved home for over four decades. For 64 years, our family has lived on this block — and this house has been ours for 44 of those years. It holds the heart of our family's history and is the last piece of my late mother that we have left.

Due to recent hardships, we’ve fallen behind on property taxes. We’re now facing urgent pressure from the bank, with less than two weeks to come up with the funds to stop further action. We are actively filing for future tax exemptions and appeals, but we need immediate help to bridge the gap and buy critical time.

We are trying to raise $12,000 to:

• Pay the past-due taxes and stop any bank action

• Keep the home in the family

• Create breathing room for long-term solutions

This house is more than a roof over our heads — it’s the foundation of stability for three generations. My daughter is starting her junior year of high school, and my older daughter is entering her senior year of college. Both need the stability of a home to focus, thrive, and finish strong.

We also have another adult family member living here who is preparing for back surgery while dealing with the closure of his job this August. He’s facing a career shift and a health crisis at the same time, and we’re doing everything we can to hold things together during this storm.

We’re not asking for a handout — just a hand up. A little more time. A little more support. So we can save our family home, protect our children’s futures, and plan a path forward without fear of losing everything.
