On the night of June 15th, our world was turned upside down. Mark jette and steph Irvine took it upon themselves to drink and drive and smash into both of our vehicles. Our cars were "parked" in our driveway and from the police report they were hit at least going 50+ mphs. We live in a residential area where kids play and ride bikes and the speed limit is 15mph. Both of our vehicles were totaled and we were told he didn't have insurance. He was charged with 5 felonys and she was only charged with domestic violence. They both sat in jail till monday and our now free living their lives like nothing happened and they didnt just royally mess our life up. Neither have tried to reach out or at the least apologize for all that they have caused me and my family. We both have missed days of work and countless doctors appointments because we have no transportation at the moment. We have 3 kids and Im currently 6 months pregnant and high risk and neither of us can afford to miss anymore work or appointments. We are both under so much stress trying to figure out how to pick up the pieces and fix the mess they caused. Our insurance is currently trying to search for their insurance and get information and we can't move forward with anything. We will be without a vehicle for at least another month or two until they can issue us a check for 1 of our totaled cars. We won't be getting a thing for our gold car that was hit and destroyed. We work hard everyday to provide for our family and pay our bills. I'm not the kind of person to ask for help ever but we are drowning right now and I'm asking for help to get us by till we can get back on our feet and help with transportation till we can get our own vehicle again. Any donations we get will go towards a down payment for a new vehicle or at the very least gas money to get us to and from work and appointments until we can get a new car.
