On October 2nd, my daughter, Kimberly, tragically lost her life to gun violence at the Artist Lounge in Northridge, CA. This senseless act has devastated our family and left us grieving a loss that words cannot fully express. She also leaves behind her 2-year-old son, who now has to grow up without his mother. Kimberly was a young mother with so much life ahead of her. She was attending school, loved reading books, and was working toward building a better future for herself and her son. She had dreams of going to college and/or enlisting in the military so that she could provide a stable and secure future for her child. She had goals, plans, and a future that was taken from her far too soon. I am starting this fundraiser specifically to support her young son during this heartbreaking time and to help provide for his needs as he grows up without his mother. Our family is facing the unimaginable pain of losing Kimberly, while also wanting to make sure her son continues to have the love, care, stability, and opportunities she wanted for him.

Kimberly deserved the opportunity to see her dreams through, watch her son grow, and continue building the life she envisioned for them. Her life was robbed from her far too soon, and we want to honor her memory by helping give her son the future she worked so hard to create for him. The funds raised will go toward supporting her son’s ongoing needs, care, education, and future as he navigates life without his mother.

Kimberly también deja atrás a su hijo de 2 años, quien ahora tendrá que crecer sin su madre.

Kimberly era una madre joven con toda una vida por delante. Estaba estudiando, le encantaba leer libros y estaba trabajando para construir un futuro mejor para ella y su hijo. Tenía sueños de asistir a la universidad y/o enlistarse en las fuerzas armadas para poder brindarles a su hijo un futuro estable y seguro. Tenía metas, planes y un futuro que le fue arrebatado demasiado pronto.

Estoy iniciando esta recaudación de fondos específicamente para apoyar a su pequeño hijo durante este momento tan doloroso y ayudar a cubrir sus necesidades mientras crece sin su madre. Nuestra familia está enfrentando el dolor inimaginable de perder a Kimberly, mientras también queremos asegurarnos de que su hijo continúe recibiendo el amor, cuidado, estabilidad y oportunidades que ella quería para él.

Kimberly merecía la oportunidad de cumplir sus sueños, ver crecer a su hijo y continuar construyendo la vida que había imaginado para ambos. Su vida le fue arrebatada demasiado pronto, y queremos honrar su memoria ayudando a darle a su hijo el futuro que ella trabajaba tan arduamente para construir para él.
