Salaam everyone,

We are heartbroken to share this, but we are also deeply grateful that everyone is safe.

Recently, my aunt’s home in Pakistan was severely damaged by a fire. The damage is extensive. The roof had to be torn down to prevent the fire from spreading further, and thick smoke and soot traveled throughout the entire house. Every room is now completely black from smoke damage, and much of their furniture and belongings were lost.

During the fire, my cousin’s newborn baby was sleeping in one of the rooms. He ran in twice trying to rescue her, but the smoke was so intense that he fainted both times. By the mercy of Allah, the baby is safe and everyone survived, something we are endlessly thankful for.

Alhamdulillah they are safe, but the loss they are now facing is overwhelming. My aunt is a widow living with both of her married sons and daughters in law. One has two young children, and the other is expecting a baby soon. As a family, they simply do not have the financial means to rebuild and restore their cement home in the village quickly on their own.

We are starting this fundraiser to help them take the first steps toward making their home safe and livable again. This includes covering essential repairs, replacing basic furniture, and easing some of the burden during this incredibly difficult time.

Any amount, no matter how small, would mean more than words can express. If you are unable to donate, sharing this and keeping them in your duas is just as appreciated.
