Hello, my name is Heather. I have been reading over the past year about the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people and the violence in the West Bank and Gaza. I hate being an American citizen knowing the President continues to use our tax dollars to fund Israhells imperialistic violence. The inaction of the American government on ensuring the safety of the hundreds of thousands of innocent lives being taken is an excellent signifier of their plans. Please stand with me to push back against imperialism, violence and Israhell’s twisted regime.

Mohammed and his family are currently located in Gaza and hoping to immigrate to Egypt. This is due to ongoing violence and destruction occurring throughout the area. The campaign funds will be transferred directly to Mohammed's bank account. The goal for this campaign is $56,000; $7,000 per family member to cross the Egyptian border to safety.

Below is Mohammed Hasam and his family’s story.

My name is Muhammad and I am 26 years old. I lived with my family in a neighborhood called Al-Rimal in the middle of the Gaza Strip. My older brother, Jamal, and I shared a dream and worked hard together to bring it to reality. We had a women’s clothing line and big dreams to open an exhibition in every province in the country. We worked tirelessly together for 7 years but it was destroyed after the occupation began bombing Gaza. We had a showroom with many pieces in there, it was a space to communicate with our clients our work. It was destroyed, a long with our livelihoods.

This is my father's story; His name is Rafi Hamada. He is 52 years old. He is a supporter of my family. He worked in the carpentry profession and made home furniture. He worked in general trade, but due to the war that was launched on Gaza in 2008 and lasted 50 days, my father lost his business with a huge amount because of Israel. However my father was not defeated and continued to work, he knew he had a family he loved and wished to support. He work hard, long days, on his feet and eventually his business is usually stronger than before in 14 years. But again on the 7th of October war, after 50 days of war, we received news of the burning of the wood factory that my father owned. He collapsed after fatigue and loss from before and hard work, it was heartbreaking to see. He was not sleeping because despite his hard work and dedication to craft, the occupation destroyed the money, trade and factories that he owned. For my father, is now my father is unemployed and does not have any money because of the war that befell us and ruined all that my father worked so hard for, all the promises he made about our future were wiped from his hands.

This is my mother’s story; My mother is 42 years old. My mother is a housewife who has worked hard to raise our growing family since the first day as a mother in her home.❤️ She suffered from heart disease before October 7th, however her condition has worsened due to cooking over the fire and living in a tent after our beautiful house we grew up in was demolished. She is the anchor for our family, it is due to her we have so many warm and happy memories. My mother is a woman who fought for her children since childhood, she encouraged us to work hard, be patient, and diligent in educational because she is a patient, kind and caring mother and she understands the value of love and knowledge.

This is my older brother’s story; His name is Jamal Al-Kabeer, and he is 28 years old. Before the 7th of October, my brother met us on Friday when our family gathers and shared the news that he has been engaged. He was so happy and hopeful, he had just finished his studies at the university in the College of Public Relations and was about to marry a beautiful women and start their future family together. Now his plans have been spoiled, his engagement is off and his future snatched away. He’s in the worst conditions our family has ever seen him in all the time before the October 7th attack.

This is my sister’s stories; my sister Diana is 28 years old and Faryal is 22 years old. They have finished their studies at the university. Diana is an English language teacher and Faryal is an Arabic language teacher. They had started an educational center together a year before the occupation started bombing Gaza. They had no students to start and grew to how 150 students in one year of being open. Their work was free because it’s not frequent to come by. They worked as hard as they could, inspired by our mother to continue brining free knowledge to the children. The education center wad demolished by the occupation and half of their students have been martyred. Their hearts ache for the lives lost and their inability to continue reaching the lives of children everyday.

This is my younger brother’s story; my brother Hashem is 5 years old. May God bless you, my brother Hashem, a young boy who is afraid of missiles and constant bombing. He lost his kindergarten due to the war and now suffers from fear. He asks us every day when the war will end, and we do not know how to respond to him because we do not have credible news. One day, I pray he returns to kindergarten. It will be enough for him to continue.

After we were displaced from our home in northern Gaza to southern Gaza, we were displaced 7 times from one area to another. The occupation highlights a new safe zone, we move because we know the next area will be bombed. We have relocated over and over following instructions from the occupation and still they bomb us. We are now waiting for the Egyptian border, hoping it will open so that we can get out to safety. However there is a high cost to migrate, $7,000 to the Egyptian government per person, no matter the age. In total this would be $56,000 for all 8 people in my family.

But I, Mohammed, appeal to you, I call upon you to save my family from war, genocide, displacement and famine from Israel. We love you, free peoples. You have helped save the lives of 8 people in my family and donated to them, and we thank every donor for supporting organization!
